News — eaves must be under 3m tall if within 2m of any structure boundaries

You do not normally need to apply for planning permission to re-roof your house or to insert roof lights or skylights as the permitted development rules allow for roof alterations  but if part of any extension or conservatory/orangery structure it must must not exceed or even cover over 50% of the size of the house and must not more than 50% of a house width.
